BASIC Expert conducted a risk assessment to determine the likelihood and consequence of fire spread through installed combustible cladding on the building and proposed a risk mitigation strategy to reduce the fire scenario risk ratings to acceptable levels and increase the reliance on Essential Safety Measures. We leveraged our expertise at the Building Appeals Board under s 160(2)(b) of the Building Act 1993 for determinations to secure a favourable decision to modify clauses 2.4 and 4.1(b) of Specification C1.1 of the Building Code of Australia 2015, Volume One (BCA) of a class 2 and 6 building.
